I think my knees are unionizing

So, here I am again, staring down the barrel of yet another fifteen-hour workday. I mean, who knew four jobs could be so exhausting? (Spoiler alert: everyone.) Just when I thought I was getting the hang of this chaotic adulting thing, life decided to throw me a curveball. Or maybe it was just my knees saying, “Hey, remember us? We’re still here, and we’re not happy!”

Let’s break it down: I love my web development gig. It’s like finding that one perfect pair of jeans that fits just right, ya know? But then there’s the chicken kitchen at the truck stop. Ugh. I dread those shifts. The smell of fried everything sticks to my clothes like a bad decision. And don’t even get me started on the customers. Yesterday, one guy was convinced that the chicken nuggets were made from real chickens. I mean, what else would they be made from? Unicorns? But I digress.

The social media management gig pays the bills, but it’s like trying to drink coffee with a spoon instead of a cup. It just doesn’t feel right. And then there’s the tiny country restaurant where I waitress and cashier. Honestly, if I could just turn back time and choose a different path, I might reconsider. But for now, it’s all about surviving until I can find a way out.

And walking everywhere? Well, that’s been my new normal since my truck decided it was over this whole ‘being a reliable vehicle’ thing. I’ve grown fond of the walks, though. It’s like a little adventure every day, dodging the occasional deer or surviving the thrill of crossing the busiest intersection in town. But losing what little free time I have is a drag. Every step feels like a reminder that I’m slowly running out of hours in the day.

Oh, family drama. That’s just background noise at this point. My sister still has her things scattered around my house like confetti, and every time I mention it, she goes off the rails. It’s like I’m living in a soap opera, and I’m not even the main character! Just a supporting role with a side of eye-rolling.

Anyway, I’m just trying to survive long enough to build something better. Maybe I’ll get more development work, ditch the jobs I hate, fix my truck, and find some semblance of free time. That’s the dream, right? And who knows, maybe I’ll even start blogging more consistently. But for now, it’s just a lot of moving parts and a sprinkle of chaos.

And on that note, I should probably go find some food before I start dreaming about chicken nuggets. Good times lol.
