I’m still alive. Barely. lol

Well, here we are again. It’s been a hot minute since I last updated this little corner of the internet, hasn’t it? Life has been an exhausting whirlwind of work, walking, and the occasional existential crisis. You know, the usual.

So, let’s break it down: I’m currently juggling four jobs. Yes, four. Because apparently, I enjoy living in a state of constant fatigue and chaos. My web development gig is the one bright spot in this mess—it’s what I actually love doing. The chicken kitchen at the truck stop? Let’s just say I’m counting down the days until I can escape that grease-laden hellscape. Social media management is a paycheck that drains my soul a little more each day, and then there’s waitressing at a tiny country restaurant, which feels like running a marathon in a potato sack. Good times.

On a good day, I’m clocking around fifteen hours of work. Wednesdays are my only shift-free day, and even then, I’m usually buried under a mountain of laundry, errands, and the lingering desire to just sleep for a week. My legs are in a permanent state of protest, and I’m pretty sure they’re organizing some sort of union at this point.

And guess what? My truck is still out of commission. So, I’m hoofing it everywhere. Walking isn’t the worst—sometimes it’s kind of nice to have a little quiet time to think, or not think, as the case may be. But it really eats into what little free time I have left, which is just fantastic. Walking has become my new cardio and my new method of transportation. Who knew I’d be reliving my college days of “I’ll just walk, it’s fine”?

Family drama is still lurking in the background, too. My sister’s belongings are still hanging out at my place like they’re on an extended vacation. I asked her to pick some stuff up, and of course, it turned into a whole thing. She said some pretty cruel stuff, but honestly? At this point, it’s just background noise in the symphony of my life. I’m starting to think I might need to go no-contact eventually, but, you know, small town life makes that complicated. We still work together three shifts a week, so it’s like being in a sitcom where all the characters are just a little too close for comfort.

But enough about that. I’m just trying to survive long enough to build something better. I mean, at some point, I’d like to get more development work, scale back on the jobs I hate, fix or replace my truck, and maybe—just maybe—find a life that feels less like a hamster wheel. Is that too much to ask for? I guess we’ll see.

Anyway, here’s to the next chaotic chapter of my life. I’m still here, still typing away, and still wondering what the heck I’m doing with my life. But hey, at least I’ve got some stories to tell, right? Until next time, my feet and I are going to have a serious chat about our future plans. Spoiler alert: it involves sitting down.

Time for dinner. Or, you know, whatever I can scrounge up in the fridge. Peace out, folks!
