Everything is exhausting, but hey, at least I’m walking!

Alright, let’s just get right into it. Life is, quite frankly, a whirlwind of exhaustion right now. I’m working four jobs, because why not add more chaos to my already chaotic existence? My main gig is web development, which I actually enjoy (shocker, right?), but then there’s the chicken kitchen at a truck stop where I feel like a walking fryer with legs. Spoiler alert: I hate that job. And then there’s the social media management stuff that pays the bills but drains my soul. Rounding it all out is waitressing at this tiny country restaurant, which, guess what? I also hate. So, I’m living the dream, working about fifteen hours a day, and all my legs are like, “Excuse me, could we take a break?”

Wednesdays are my one glorious day off, and you’d think I’d get to kick back and relax, but nah. Instead, I’m typically knee-deep in laundry, errands, and the dishes that seem to multiply like rabbits. And let’s not even talk about the sleep I’m not getting.

Speaking of things that suck, my truck is still out of commission. I’ve become quite the pedestrian lately. Honestly, walking everywhere isn’t the worst thing. Sometimes I even enjoy it. I mean, fresh air, some cardio—the universe is trying to force me into fitness, I guess. But it’s the time it eats up that really gets to me. I barely have time to breathe, let alone enjoy anything other than the sweet sound of my feet hitting the pavement.

And, oh, family drama? It exists, but it’s more like background noise at this point. My sister still hasn’t picked up her stuff from my place, and when I asked her to do it, she threw a fit. Like, girl, it’s just a few boxes, not a life or death situation. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I may need to go no-contact eventually, but living in a small town with her means it’s complicated. It’s just another chapter in a very old story.

So here I am, just trying to survive long enough to build something better. I’m thinking about getting more development work and cutting down on the jobs I can’t stand. I mean, I’d love to fix or replace my truck someday, too. That would be a nice change of pace. But for now, I’m just trudging through the muck of adulthood, paying bills and trying to find some semblance of free time.

Anyway, I should probably go make dinner or something. My feet are definitely staging a protest, and I’m sure they’ve filed their HR complaint by now.
